Typically, snow removal services and snow plowing costs are incurred by either routine visits in high-frequency snow areas, and on-call per-visit pricing in areas with less snow. There are also fees to be prioritized ahead of other customers. Landscaping and groundskeeping companies that offer snow removal services typically give priority to their existing year-round clients first. Our pricing is above.

Removing actual snow, whether shoveling a driveway, or walkway, or using a snow blower, can involve the risk of slips and falls, especially with heavy work around ice and snow banks. Wearing studded and gripped boots, along with proper snow gear, along with understanding of safety techniques when operating dangerous snow plows and snow blowers.

For many commercial facilities and public facilities, like retail, office, and workplaces, offering snow removal within a “reasonable” time is expected. This could be daily during heavy snow periods. With critical areas with much foot traffic, ice melt, breaking up of ice, knockdown of icicles, and clearing of walkways are considered good practice, and may be essential depending on insurance coverage and property grounds keeping contracts. As with all snow removal services, we cannot guarantee completely slip-free property. We ask our clients not to hold us liable for remaining snow, ice and potential for hazards. Snow removal service simply provides better access, and reduces the likelihood of hazards and liability.

Northern Nevada and the Reno-Sparks area are high deserts. We experience cold winters, yet are relatively dry, with sometimes weeks of sunny, dry winter weather at a time. That being said, most of our annual precipitation actually comes in the form of snow. And we are also known for spring snow as well. Snow storms, while infrequent, and inconsistent, typically arrive in mid-November, and can come occasionally through April. The snowiest months are December and January. Commercial spaces, along with large homes, or homes in sloped areas and in the higher-elevation outlying areas, are wise to have close access to snow removal services.

If your property is quite small, the easiest way to remove snow is with a simple snow shovel. Flat-bladed shovels also work well and break up thin ice. Snow blowers, plows, and powered equipment, although helpful, may be overboard to hold onto, unless your property is large. Our inconsistent snow here in the region, makes it more cost-effective to simply reach out to a snow removal service instead.
